Professional removal of Canon cartridge collars requires special tools.

Knowing how to do it properly with good instructions is 95% of the battle.

The proper tools can be substituted with onsite materials you can use as alternatives once you have a good understanding on how the proper tools are used.

See the attached document for the following items;

How to remove the bottom collar from Canon ipf imagepregraf PFI-101 PFI-102 or PFI-103 inkjet ink cartridges
How to replace the chip(s) on the above cartridges in case you need our compatible chips
How to reassemble the collar properly to a Canon cartridge or to a refillable cartridge

In the Case of moving the factory OEM chip AND collar to our refillable you only need to ensure

Correct orientation / facing of the chip Glance at a factory original cart while replacing your chip/collar
Correct security of the collar to the refillable cartridge (Use a strong tape and attach securely)
